Raise for Rowyn ("we," "our," or "us") is a Washington State 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting personal information entrusted to us by families, donors, volunteers, sponsors, and website visitors.

Event & volunteer data: RSVPs, availability, interests, T‑shirt size if provided
Technical data: IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, cookies or similar technologies
Communications: messages, inquiries, testimonials, memorial submissions for our website/social media/newsletter
Consumer health data (Washington)
If you share information that may be considered “consumer health data” under Washington’s My Health My Data Act (MHMDA)—for example, information about a child’s death, grief support needs, mental health, or other health‑related details—we will handle it consistent with the Act. That includes presenting a clear health‑data privacy notice, obtaining your consent when required, limiting disclosures, honoring requests to access or delete, and maintaining appropriate security safeguards.

We process information based on your consent, to fulfill a request or agreement (e.g., provide assistance or process a donation), for our legitimate nonprofit interests (such as program improvement and donor stewardship), and to comply with legal obligations.

When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with:

Service providers/contractors who help operate our website, process donations, send email, run events, or store data—subject to confidentiality and data‑protection terms
Partner organizations only with your consent (for example, referrals or co‑hosted programs)
Law enforcement or regulators when required by law or to protect rights and safety
Public tributes, memorials, or testimonials you submit may be published on our website, social media, or newsletter with your permission and according to our submission guidelines.

Data breaches (Washington)

If a data breach occurs involving Washington residents’ personal information, we will provide notices consistent with RCW 19.255 and other applicable laws, including notice to affected individuals (and the Washington Attorney General when required) within legal timeframes.

International visitors

If you visit from outside the United States, be aware that your information may be processed in the U.S. and subject to U.S. law. We will handle your information as described in this policy and apply additional safeguards where required.
