ANGEL OF HOPE
honoring Timmothy Barela

"On September 29, 2020, I lost my son Timmothy Barela to smoke inhalation at 9 years, 6 months, and 8 days old. My name is Traci Gromus, and the trauma and heartache of this loss taught me how many people love and support us. This experience has both broken me and made me stronger at the same time.  I am forever grateful for our community as I grieve and try to preserve the memory of Timmy."

"I am asking for your financial support to bring an Angel of Hope to the Skagit Valley in honor of Timmy and every angel taken too early. The monument will be a place to mourn the loss of all children, of any age, for any reason. I have a fundraising goal of $20,000 for the monument."

Each year, there is a candlelight vigil on December 6 at 7 pm at all Angel of Hope statues around the United States. Those who are interested may place a white flower at the base of the statue in memory of a loved one. The Angel of Hope was inspired by Richard Paul Evans' bestseller The Christmas Box.
