Remembering Our Angel, Harper Jo Marie Parkison

Some little lives leave an immeasurable impact.
In 2021, Raise for Rowyn had the honor of supporting the family of Harper Jo Marie Parkison following the heartbreaking loss of their baby girl. Today, Harper remains one of Rowyn’s Angels, and five years later, her family continues to make sure her name, her story, and the love surrounding her are never forgotten.
The Happiest Baby

Harper’s family remembers her as the happiest baby.
She was deeply loved by her mom and dad and by her two older sisters, Harmony and Presley. She was also surrounded by a large extended family who loved her dearly.
When Harper passed away, her family shared that although she could no longer physically join them, they would continue to carry her with them through their travels, activities, milestones, and lives.
That is one of the beautiful things about remembering our angels. Their lives may have been far too short, but the love they created does not disappear.
Harper continues to be part of her family.
From Receiving Support to Giving It Back
Raise for Rowyn was there for the Parkison family in 2021 during one of the most difficult times a family can experience.
Five years later, Harper’s family and community are continuing turning that support outward.
On August 29, 2026, the 6th Annual Ride for Harper Jo Memorial Gaming Show was held at Milky Way Ranch in Elma, Washington. The event was organized in Harper’s memory, with proceeds benefiting Raise for Rowyn in recognition of the assistance provided to the Parkison family after Harper’s passing.
For us, that connection makes this event incredibly special.
A family that once needed support during an unimaginable loss is now helping make that same support possible for another family.

73 Riders for Harper Jo
This year’s Ride for Harper Jo brought an incredible response from the community.
Seventy-three riders participated—about double the event’s typical turnout.
The day included poles, figure eight, key race, barrels, mystery events, raffles, food, awards, and plenty of activity from morning until the final raffle item was drawn around 8:30 that evening.
But behind all of the riding, competition, food, and fun was something much more important:
Harper Jo.
Every rider who entered the arena, every volunteer who helped, every person who donated, and every community member who showed up became part of a day created to keep a little girl’s memory alive.
Raise for Rowyn was honored to have a table at the event, where we were able to meet members of the community, talk about our mission, and share how we support families following the loss of a child.
Her Legacy Continues
At Raise for Rowyn, we believe that remembering an angel means continuing to say their name, share their story, and recognize the ways their life continues to touch others. Harper’s family promised in 2021 that they would continue to take her with them throughout their lives. The Ride for Harper Jo is a beautiful example of that promise being kept. What began with a family experiencing an unimaginable loss has grown into a community gathering in Harper’s name—and now that gathering is helping Raise for Rowyn walk alongside other families experiencing loss. That is a powerful legacy for one very loved little girl!
To the Parkison family, the Harper Jo Memorial Foundation, the 73 riders, volunteers, donors, sponsors, spectators, and everyone who made the 2026 Ride for Harper Jo possible: thank you for allowing Raise for Rowyn to be part of such a meaningful day.
And most importantly, today we remember:
Harper Jo Marie Parkison.
The happiest baby.
A beloved daughter.
A treasured little sister.
A forever member of her family.
Always loved. Always remembered. Always an angel.
